Race Details

What is the “ICBC Macau 10th Anniversary Charity Run 2019”?
To celebrate 10th anniversary of serving in Macau, ICBC (Macau) will hold “ICBC (Macau) 10th Anniversary Charity Run 2019” which aim to raise funds for local charity to help more people in need and also promote the development of Macau in building a healthier city through running. “ICBC Macau 10th Anniversary Charity Run 2019” will be held on 5th May 2019, Sunday morning from 7am to 1pm at the Sai Van Lake Square. The event includes 9km Power Run, 6.5km Happy Run and 2.5km Family Run (Total 2000). In addition to the various race categories awards, “The Most Eye-Catching Runner Award” and “The Most Committed Organization Award” are newly added in the event as well as having other prizes, trophies and awards. This event is suitable for you if you want to have challenge and enjoy family life. There will be carnival elements on the day of the event with a number of booth activities and games. It welcomes all participants, relatives and other Macau citizens to come and have fun.
When will the charity run be held?
“ICBC (Macau) 10th Anniversary Charity Run 2019” will be held on 5th May 2019, Sunday.
How many races include in this charity run?

The race includes 9km Power Run, 6.5km Happy Run and 2.5km Family Run, with a total of 2,000 participants. First come first served.

Does the charity run has any prizes or awards?
The winners (Champion, 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up) of each race category will be awarded with prize money and a trophy. The Champion, 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up of 9km Power Run and 6.5km Happy Run will be awarded $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 and trophy respectively; The Champion, 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up of 2.5km Family Run will be awarded $1,500, $1,000 and $500 and trophy respectively. Participants who completed the race within the time limit will be awarded a Finisher Medal. Furthermore, the “Most Eye-Catching Runner Award” and the “Most Committed Organization Award” are newly added in the event.
Does the charity run has any age limits?
  • The participants for 9km Power Run and 6.5km Happy Run must be 18 years old or above on race day (5th May 2019).
  • The 2.5km Family Run requires two people per team. One of the participants must be Parent (or Guardian) 18 years or above on the day of event (5th May 2019) and ONE (1) Child must be aged 6 to 11 years old on the day of the event (5th May 2019).
Where are the starting and finishing points?
Both start and the finish of the charity run will be at Sai Van Lake Square.

What are the time limits for each race categories?

9km Power Run - within 90 minutes

6.5km Happy Run - within 60 minutes

2.5km Family Run - within 40 minutes

Why does the Charity Run start in the morning?

Due to the constraint of the race course and the surrounding conditions, holding the race in the morning will minimize the impact on the road traffic and ensure the safety of participants.

How will the proceeds of this charity run be handled?
The funds raised by the event will be fully used for charitable purposes and will contribute to the public welfare activities.

Registration

How to register for the “ICBC Macau 10th Anniversary Charity Run 2019”
Participants may register online or on-site registration during office opening hours at designated locations.
When will the registration starts and ends?
The charity run is now open for registration until 4th April 2019. 2.5 If the quota reach the limits before deadline, the organizer reserves the right to terminate the registration without prior notice. For details, please pay attention to the announcement of the website news.
What documents are required for registration?
Registration form, Resident ID/Passport Number, Health Certificate and Registration Fees.
If we would like to register the 2.5km Family Run for more than 2 people, is it need to register separately?
NO. If you use online registration, please click the “Add” button in the registration form for adding the extra participants. If you use on-site registration, please use the new registration form and just fill the “Participant 2 Personal Information (For 2.5km Family Run only)” for extra participants. And then please submit all forms filled with all related documents and registration fees.
What is the Health Certificate? How and where to get the Health Certificate?
Health Certificate is health status certificate signed by a local registered doctor and valid for the last three months For the Heath Certificate, please consult your doctor for more details. The organizer will not provide any template to the public for download or reference.
How much is the registration fee?

Which payment methods are available?
According to the registration method, the following payment methods are available:
  • Online Registration - Accept MASTER、VISA or UnionPay Card ONLY
  • On-site Registration - General Association of Athletics of Macau – Olympic Sports Centre: Accept CASH ONLY
  • On-site Registration - The Summit, ICBC Tower, Macau Landmark: Accept Cheque ONLY; Payable to “Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Macau) Limited”.
How do I know if my registration has been confirmed?
Once the online registration is completed, a “Registration Confirmation Email” will be sent by ICBC (Macau) within 5 working days. If there is any missing/incorrect information in the “Registration Confirmation Email”, please contact the organizer for immediate update. If the participant has not received the “Registration Confirmation Email” two weeks after the online registration, please contact the organizer by email to enquiry@charityrun.icbc.com.mo or at (853) 6556 3163.
What should I do if I have not receive any email?
The mail may be marked as spam, please check your spam or junk mail box. Please email us at enquiry@charityrun.icbc.com.mo or contact us (853) 6556 3163.
May I transfer my registration?
Once the registration is completed and confirmed, no transfer, changes, cancellation or refund will be accepted.

Race Kit Collection Arrangement

When will the Organizer send out the “Race Kit Collection Notification Email”?
A "Race Kit Collection Notification Email" will be sent to all successful applicants from 10th April 2019 (Wednesday) to 15th April 2019 (Monday). Participant’s name, race category and bib number will be indicated in the email for race kit collection use. More details will be announced on the event website.
What should I do if I have not receive any email?
If any participant has not received the notification email by 18th April 2019 (Thursday), please email to enquiry@charityrun.icbc.com.mo or contact us at (853) 6556 3163. Only participants who have the “Race Kit Collection Notification Email” can collect the race kit.
When, where and how to collect my race kit?
Race kit are available for pick up from 25th - 27th April 2019, 10:00 - 20:00 at General Association of Athletics of Macau - Olympic Sports Centre. Please present the “Race Kit Collection Notification Email” in full print or electronic copy and “Valid Identification Document” at collection.
May I authorize a third person for collection?
If participants are unable to collect the Race Kit in person, please download and fill in the "Authorization Letter" from event website to authorize a person for collection. The authorized person must show the copy of participant’s valid identification document, this "Race Kit Collection Notification Email" in full print or electronic copy with the filled and signed authorization letter at collection. For family participants, one member can collect the race kits for the whole team. If any document mentioned above is missing, the race kits will not be distributed. For more details please refer to the "Race Kit Collection Notification Email".
May I collect my race kit on race day?
No. No race kit will be distributed on event day. Participants must collect the race kit during the collection period.
May I collect my race kit by post?
No. Race kit will not be distributed by post so as to avoid losing or damaging any packs during postage.
May I change my tee size?
No. Participants may select the tee size at registration. Once registration is completed and confirmed, no changes is allowed. [Please view event details for tee size]

Pre-Race Preparation

What should I wear for the event day?
The organizer advises participants wear appropriate sportswear and sport shoes. Do not forget to put the race bib (attached with the timing chip) on your chest before the race. To assist the organizer and medical staff to contact runner’s relatives and friends for emergency use, runners should fill in their personal details at the back of their bibs with a waterproof pen.
Is there any specific dress code for the event?
The organizer encourages all participants to wear the souvenir tee, or dress in different costume to join the the “Most Eye-Catching Runner Award”. For more details on how to participant in the award, please refer to “How to participate the “Most Eye-Catching Runner Award” in FAQ.
What should I bring to the event day?
All participants must bring their runner bib (With timing chips attached) and pins on event day. If you would like to store your belongings with us, please bring along the luggage tag (included in your Runner's Pack) during specific period in luggage storage zone. Please note that No luggage bag and tag will be provided on the race day. Please do not bring any valuable items. The organizer is not responsible for the loss or damage of any luggage stored by us.
Does the participant required to purchase any personal insurance for the event?
Public Liability Insurance is covered by the organizer within designated area and route on the event day. Participants must follow the instructions given by the organizer during the event. Participants are advised to take up their own personal or other insurance policies according to their needs respectively. Organizer recommends all participants to check their health condition by consulting qualified medical practitioners before registration while all participants will be responsible for bearing their own risks during the event.
Does participants required to check in at arrival on event day?
No check-in process is required. Please wait for the instructions from the staffs. The staffs will lead you to the queue-up area 10 minutes before the race. Please deposit your luggage at luggage area upon arrival if necessary.
If I fail to arrive at the starting zone at the designated start time, may I still participate in the race?
No. The start time of all races has been listed on the event website. All participants must start the race at their designated start time. Late participants will not be allowed to enter the starting zone. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify your race and result and no Electronic Certificate will be issued.
If I forgot to bring my runner’s bib to the race on event day, may I still enter the starting zone?
No, the organizer has the right to prohibit those participants who do not wear a valid runner’s bib when entering the starting area for their race.
If I forgot to bring my runner bib on event day, can I redeem it?

No. No runner bib will be distributed on the event day. Please make sure to bring the runner bib for race timing. Participants without a valid runner bib will not be allowed to start the race. Runner bib is not transferable.

May I transfer my runner bib to another participant?
No. Runner bib (with timing chips attached) is not transferable. Upon discovery of such irregularities, participants concerned will be disqualified.

Race Day

What is the arrangement of the starting?
The organizer will arrange the starting sequence of each participants based on their starting time and also total participants of each category. Please stay tuned with the race website for any updates.
How to participate in the “Most Eye-Catching Runner Award "?
If you wish to participate the “Most Eye-Catching Runner Award ", please register at the Information Counter inside the venue on event day. The organizer will announce the results and present the awards on stage on event day.
Could my family and friends come to the event to cheer for me?
Yes. They are welcome to watch the event and cheer you at designated areas.
Should participant running on the road be safe?
During the race, all relevant road will be completely closed and all vehicles will not be allowed to enter the relevant sections. Therefore, as long as the participants follow the route planned by the organizer, it is absolutely safe. In addition, emergency lanes will be provided along the way for ambulances, police vehicles and designated vehicles for emergency use. In the event of an emergency during the race, any government department has the right to terminate the game, close the track or change the route without prior notice.
What’s the different in between official time (gun time) and personal time (chip time)?

An official time (gun time) is the time from the sound of the Starter’s signal to the time when you cross the Finish Line. The personal time (chip time) is the time from when you cross the timing mats at the start line, to the time when you cross the timing mats at the finish line.

Is the award based on the official time or personal time?
All awards will be based on the official Time according to the international standard. Personal Time is for participant’s reference use.
What drinks will the organizer be providing?
Water and sports drinks will be provided by the organizer at the on route refreshment stations.
Any medical facilities within the race area?
For details, please refer to the "Event Manual (online version)" and the latest information on this event website. There will also be signs indicating the location on event day. Should you have any questions, please contact the staffs for enquiry.
What should I do after I cross the finish line?
Upon crossing the Finish Line, participants are advised to leave the Finish Area as soon as possible and go to a designated area where you can gather and take pictures after the race, to avoid congestion or blockage to another participants who are arriving at the Finish Line. The organizer will post up results of winners for each category at the venue.
What happen if I unable to complete the race within the time limit?
The track will be fully closed at 10:00am. Participants who are unable to complete the race must follow the arrangements and instructions by the organizer to leave the track. And all safety measures/protections will be removed.

Luggage Storage & Claim

Where is the luggage storage zone?
The luggage storage zone is located at the Sai Van Lake Square.
How can I store my luggage?
Please write your number which shown on your number bib on the luggage tag and attach them on the luggage bag before store your luggage. Participants are not advised to bring any valuable items, the organizer will not be liable for any loss or damage.   No luggage bag and tag will be provided on the race day.
Where can I retrieve my luggage?
Participants can collect their luggage in the luggage area located at the Sai Van Lake Square.

Race Timing & Results

If participant unable to complete the race within the time limit, will the result be published?
According to the organizer’s rules and regulation, if participants unable to complete the race within the time limit, No official Time will be provided and No Electronic Certificate will be issued.
When and where can I check my result?
All participants who completed the 9km Power Run and the 6.5km Happy Run will be ranked in the total ranking of their race category. The results list can be found on the event day. Results of each participant will be released on or before 10th May 2019 through online.
Will the organizer still issue a certificate if the participant was absent or did not complete the race on event day?
The purpose of the certificate is to recognize participant’s accomplishment in completed the race. Therefore, no certificate will be issued regardless of the reason of absent.
How to handle appeals on the results on race day?
According to the rules & regulations, any appeals must be reported to the General Association of Athletics of Macau within 15 minutes after the results announcement by filling an appeal form, and the form must be submitted immediately. An appeal fee of MOP$800 or US$100 should be paid together with the appeal form. The General Association of Athletics of Macau only accepts the appeal application based on the above mentioned procedure; If the appeal is accepted, the appeal fee will be refunded.
When will the Result Electronic Certificate be issued?
Participants who completed the race within the time limit will be awarded a Finisher Medal and an E-Certificate. Its E-Certificate will be available to download at https://charityrun.icbc.com.mo on or before 31st May 2019.
Should I have doubt or questions about the result, what should I do?
Any disputes regarding the results must be submitted by email to enquiry@charityrun.icbc.com.mo within 3 days after result announcements. The organizer reserves the right not to accept any disputes or appeals submitted after 31st May 2019.

Awards & Presentation

Where and when will the prize presentation ceremony be conducted?
The prize presentation ceremony will be taken place on event day (5th May 2019), located at Sai Van Lake Square. (More details will be announced soon.)
Where and when do the prize winners report to?
Winners must report to the staffs 20 minutes before the commencement of the prize presentation ceremony at the Sai Van Lake Square. If winners fail to attend the prize presentation ceremony on time, the organizer may arrange representative to accept the award on behalf of winner without prior notice.   Prize winners who fail to collect the prize on event day must contact the organizer within one week after the event for redemption. Late redemption will not be accepted that the prize will be kept for a month.

A trophy will be awarded to the participants who dresses the most eye-catching and funniest outfit in each race.

The most committed organization which have the most participants join the race will be awarded a trophy

 

  • Electronic Certificate

Participants who completed the race within the time limit will be awarded an Electronic Certificate.

 

  • Finisher Medal

Participants who completed the race within the time limit will be awarded a Finisher Medal.
